Alter Ego: Why?
Why
did I entitle this blog with "Alter Ego"?
Simply because this blog represents
the other side of me—that side of me that most of the people around me do not
know of. Most of them see me as the Janine who is always clutching a novel, the
Janine who loves to take photos, the Janine who loves to dress up, the Janine
who acts like one of the boys, the Janine who is always a no-nonsense and
etc. With this blog, I want them to recognize me as the Janine who is not
just an avid reader but also the Janine who can write, the Janine who is not
just the photographer but also the subject of the photo, the Janine who does
not also do mix-and-match with clothes but also the Janine who can sell
whatever she is wearing and lastly, I want to show them that I can be nonsense
too.
It
is a struggle when people cannot see the real you and they categorize you as
one of those of the mainstream. I strive to be unique, to be different, and to
be an original. I don't aim for perfection, I strive for progress. So with this
blog, I am hoping that I can finally show that side of me who wants to be seen.
